Participants Fascinate the Process of Making ‘Tian-Op’

‘Tian-Op’ is a traditional Thai scented candle also referred to as Thai aromatic candles or Thai fragrant candles. ‘Tian Op’ is used for the smoking and flavoring of desserts for the purpose of adding a unique aroma and also used for perfuming clothes which is very famous in royal inner court.

In 100th Sai Suddha Nobhadol Building Anniversary Exhibition, the Office of Arts and Culture proudly presented ‘Tian-Op’ workshop. In this workshop, we are honored by Siripatsorn  Chokwasin, specialist of making Thai traditional incense and fresh flower arrangement who explained the background of ‘Tain-Op’ and taught us a lot of tips for making ‘Tain-Op’.

Mr. Netiphong Kanjiak, one of the participants said that  “It was very fun today. I have learned the history of SSRU and also the process of making Tian-Op. It was so amzing that I could do it myself. I gained a lot of knowledge that can help me adapt to my job and i wanted to say thank you to the OAC and all of the officials who held such a great activity for us.”
